3/ After lunch, going to dig up knotweed for an hour or two, then shower, then work on the homesteading book.
4/ 15 gallons of knotweed in the dumpster, sagging shelf in garden shed # 1 reinforced w steel brace, 12" tall / 6" dia stump in middle of lawn chainsawed out, dull chainsaw chain swapped out, shop tidy, tools fueled. Shower time.
5/ It's only about 2 hrs per week. There are infinite other tasks to do. But what I'd like MOST to do is get back to wood turning, and start some serious cabinetmaking. Would love to make Green & Green style mahogany furniture.
Around here we call it making goose shit.
Ground turds.
2a/ (forking thread!) I was curious too! Yes, the plug aerator ejects. Way it does so is that inner diameter expands as plugs move inward. Each cutter carries one plug inside it, until NEXT plug enters, which forces 1st plug deeper in, to ejection port https://twitter.com/mattbramanti/status/1292143346237014019?s=19 …
3a/ Look at cutter to left of my thumb. See ejection port on top. See how cutting tip is smaller than the cutter body where the ejection port is? Plugs get pushed in, then are loose and fall out w gravity.pic.twitter.com/ODeVTeL2Tr
When I was little, I thought plug-aerated grass was caused by an infestation of moles.
