The student co-op I lived in at Univ of Michigan passed a resolution declaring the air space above our co-op a nuclear-free zone and wrote letters to all different government agencies warning them not to fly a plane with nuclear armaments through our air space.

As I recall, the letter also stated that military vehicles carrying nuclear weapons were not allowed to use our driveway to turn around if they got lost.
