But we weren't angry in the Vietnam war. We got out with a dubious peace settlement. On the other hand, we were (mostly) angry after 9/11, and yet, we didn't nuke people then either.

I mean, the backlash was Reagan, militarized policing, white flight, and of course, the bit where the Left went from 200,000 people doing marches to 200 people doing bombings in btw the bank robberies and orgies. Which was admittedly ~50 years ago and it's been downhill since.

reminds of the guy who told me that if things got too far he might've stepped in; right after I put his friend down three times, busted open his lip, and basically demanded his own friends save his ass before it got worse

Funnily enough, he’s paraphrasing a bit from a piece I had in JACOBITE. I doubt because he read it; probably game of telephone because he completely inverted the meaning!

Being able to incrementally dial violence up or down, depending on circumstances, is a strength, not a weakness. The political Left is more adaptable and is currently winning the war in a Darwinistic sense: they are better adapted for this environment.

>This is like explaining in 1972 why the US will inevitably win the Vietnam war, because when we get angry we nuke people. US wasn't fighting for its life in Vietnam. We'll see what happens with the right's lack of organisation if a Waco gets conducted monthly.pic.twitter.com/agSEmQveKj
