it's usually implied (or explicitly stated like with the hammers in this case) that it's the amount of stuff that makes the hoard, but unless it's something obviously crazy like hoarding used diapers, it's more about no (apparent) organization imo

you could put a metal strip to hang it from the belt-hook on the tape measure. magnet sounds a lot easier to take & replace it though
