I feel like the middle tweet that you didn't QT makes it pretty clear he's aware of the problems and only pointing out "suffering bad". I can think open borders is a pipe dream *and* bite the bullet of the consequences of that at the same time; so can Medium Yud.

“You ought to feel bad about doing the right thing” is a hard sell at the best of times, and rarely a useful point to make in practicality. In fact, it can make things worse, in that if nothing I do is “right,” why should I even bother?
