Would the same logic apply to mustard gas? There are some weapons prohibited by the Geneva convention because they are used to maim not kill. If we don't believe it morally permissible for our soldiers to use, how can we believe it is morally permissible for our citizens to use?

Also, is there some reason to have a green laser pointer (rather than red) other than it is much better for blinding people? I have an active imagination, and it's hard for me to come up with a reason other than blinding people to need a green laser pointer.
