I recently went to my gym for the first time in months — to cancel my membership. I have my rings, my ropes, and my kettlebell; I’ll add to as I can. I am not going to spend time in a big box with strangers a few hours a week with the rona on. They didn’t fight me. This is odd.

Big commercial gyms make cancelling hard on purpose. Stories are famous. But they didn’t even blink. I got my paperwork and was out in under two minutes. I think they may not be caring about the bottom line much rn.

the ship is going down; 5% difference in cancellation rate makes zero difference corporate is dealing w survival through issuing bonds, bankruptcy and restructirng, etc., - not w optimizing numbers +/- some small percent
