I literally do not understand how people move out of state with children & pets. Who has done this? How is it done?

hard to find new place to move to (too hard to stay somewhere temporarily w pets/kids), would need to buy car but probably don't want to do that here so gotta rent one-way which is tricky, I would pay for packing services but still some up-front work, timing everything ?

Once you find a place and your ready to move, there are things called Pods or Bins that you can buy, they will drop it off at your place, you pack it to the brim and call them. They pick it up, take it to the nearest location you're moving to and will drop it off at the new spot.

They will even store it for a amount of time. In our case, we sold our old home and was building a new one, but there was like 3 weeks we were "homeless" where we lived in a hotel. All our stuff was in storage or those pods.

Can recommend PODS. Loaded all my books into one 4-5 months before house sale / move. Sent to warehouse. Had it delivered same day as moving trucks arrived at farm.pic.twitter.com/00gtwNiYRi
