I get that and respect this. Kind of like the Starks insisting they execute their own prisoners so they know the gravity of their actions. I just wonder how psychology hard it was adjusting to this as someone who had been a city dweller.

I'm always struck how different people who grew up on farms see animals. They don't anthropomorphize them. They're livestock. But as someone who grew up on Charlotte's Web and Babe...it would seem really hard to adopt that worldview (even though I know it makes sense).
