9/ Last few years my welds have been getting worse. When I was building the shelves I decided to concentrate and see what was up. Concluded that I couldn't focus on the weld pond very well. Tried my second helmet. No better. ...then slapped my forehead. >>>

10/ Last few yrs my eyes have been getting less adept at focusing near vs far. Had to add computer glasses to my collection (one pair for distance, one pair for computer). I'd been trying to focus on a weld 12" from my eyes, with distance glasses. Took off glasses, made dimes

11/ oh, speaking of welding, used a welding 90° vise like this https://www.amazon.com/Bessey-WSM-12-2-Inch-Welders-Angle/dp/B0006694FK … for all welds. Have had it for a while but somehow never really got the hang of it before this weekend. I love it. Made everything so much easier. Life is good.

13 > the small metal cutting bandsaw that I had wanted to tuck onto the lower shelf. Either rework it somehow (cut notches into 4x4 legs to get an extra inch or so of clearance) or do some other scheme.
