From what little I saw of the one video I watched of the St. Louis couple, and from what little I've read: a) The protesters were not peaceful; they were knowingly trespassing after knowingly breaking and entering, both of which are violent b) The woman with the gun was crazy

I haven't read up on the relevant Minnesota laws, but pretty much any use of deadly force - even against trespassers - requires you to *reasonably* and *imminently* be in fear of your life (etc). From the video I saw, there is no way such a fear was *reasonable* and *imminent*.

Looming? Arguably. Could the mob have turned on them in such a way that deadly force was justified? Certainly. Had they? Not a chance. And, until they started to, use of deadly force was not justified. ... which includes POINTING GUNS AT PEOPLE.

HAVING guns? Not a problem. SHOWING guns? Not a problem. POINTING guns? Big problem. From the video I saw, the man was acting correctly. He was not threatening anyone with deadly force. He was keeping his gun visible but was not preparing to shoot someone. The lady was crazy.
