/ The explanation is that cops are extroverts with external locus of self worth. They don't define who they are to THEMSELVES; they define who they are based on how YOU act towards them. They need you to both cower and applaud to give them self worth.

/ I prefer to give neither. A year or so ago I pulled over for a speed warning, and the cop saw my gas flap open (open bc it had a mechanical defect). He "helped" me by forcing it closed...breaking it. "Your gas flap is broken" It is NOW. Why did you touch it? He was shocked

/ I'm not JUST sneering. I'm explaining. I'm explaining that cops have a personality type that is extroverted and thrives on signs of respect and submission from others, and that this is in contradiction to their self-mythology. Nothing pseudo there. https://twitter.com/Tiresias999/status/1270484430621196289 …

/ I've explained my point several times now. It's a comment about psychological motivation and self-mythologization. I enjoy looking at things and analyzing them, creating frameworks. https://twitter.com/Tiresias999/status/1270486427822931969 …

/ > If you didn't notice, many want to literally abolish police departments right now. Irrelevant to my concerns. Neither you nor them can force me to engage in a topic I find boring. I choose my own topics.

/ > You just want to spew qualified negativity What do you think the word "qualified" means here, btw? But, also, no, my point is not "spewing negativity", it's analyzing a social pattern.

/ > and then retreat to not taking a position on the real-world issue? I'm not RETREATING, because I am making the same point I always was. "Retreat" means a change of position. > What does that make you? Toxic? "Analytical" and/or "bored of object level topics"

/ I agree that you do not perceive there to be anything of substance in what I am saying. OK, this has been f̶u̶n̶. Bye. https://twitter.com/Tiresias999/status/1270487747342610434 …
