Is there any political movement whose median view isn't "my tribe good, your tribe evil"? Not that "all movements are terrible" is a hard bullet to bite...

saw some promotional BLM video (elementary school, don't ask), where they explicitly say they don't like "all lives matter" and coyly decline to condemn violence as a means to their ends.

I’ve always found it confusing that the “Black Lives Matter” movement has only ever provided evidence that they don’t. Lots of people claiming that they matter, but mostly evidence that they don’t in practice. I guess “Some People Don’t Think Black Lives Matter” isn’t as catchy.

Hard to pin down the median; definitely depends on where we draw the boundary markers. There are definitely groups and communities where this is very much the median view.

I think the thing that's so weird to me is that this was such an obvious reply... why have people not been making this argument for years? You see it occasionally but rarely until recently.
