We had a fun time when I ran a "How did we get here?" session. I had bbq'd ribs and wanted to just RP them having dinner with a mayor, but didn't have the set-up beforehand. It was fun, as they discovered they had acquired some artifacts, treasure, or wounds along the way

Feels like the same level of weirdly misdirected anxiety over something trivial that makes people save their video game before every single decision, just in case they aren't perfectly optimal.
