3/ apparently the dividing line between good protest and bad is if you destroy private property by throwing it in water, that's laudable, but burning it or taking it home is bad

Always burn down a plethora of govt buildings first. It makes the looting a side note not the main story.

To be fair, it was < 2 years from dumping tea to a shooting war. We’ve had protests (or riots, whatever) for at least 50 years. So the cops need to step up and be really authoritarian or the people need to step up and be real revolutionaries.

Yeah, but it wasn't the people on their own. It was the local governments. Who do think organized those alarm companies in Massachusetts? There's really no comparison.
