6/ anyway, as the saying goes: when your dog craps on the carpet, roll up a newspaper until it's nice and tight, and then hit yourself with it ... because you're the one with agency and didn't train the dog well farm hands, like all lesser animals, are just as God made them
7/ I may very well be done with farm hands. First 4 years used a crew led by Boundary Issues A. Then in year 5 used B, who was good, but his wife was weird and clingy and showed up at work (i.e. my house and yard) and hung out and then kind of forbid him from working here.
8/ Then used lazy college student C, who worked at 10% the speed that I, 2.5x his age, could. Then this year, bc covid, just doing it all myself And while I'm pretty !@#-ing tired and sore between 45 hr work weeks and 16 hr farm weekends, at least I don't have farmhands around
9/ every field (heh) has farmhandshttps://twitter.com/HorrorsGreeley/status/1265264375293673472 …
10/ have a semi-serious idea to do that in 10 or 15 years - teach butchery classes. Maybe $1k for a weekend of training plus half a pig. Walk out with a trunk full of pork chops, bacon, etc.https://twitter.com/MachScholar/status/1265264967533694977 …
I tore mine down last week, all the way down. replaced cylinder and piston and generally cleaned it all up. got it together sunday afternoon (it actually ran!) only for the weather to suck yesterday so the trees needing to be dropped are still standing.
Nice! I've never gone deeper than air filter / spark plug.
