Many years ago, I was embroiled in a national controversy in Australia. As part of it, I had a media scrum of similar intensity outside my house to the one Cummings encountered yesterday, and which Corbyn often seemed to experience as well. [2]

I could not go to the shops (or anywhere else), either in my car, on a bicycle, or on foot, without being photographed, badgered for comments, jostled, and followed. [3]

I called the police, requesting that the press pack be moved on, as I was not going to answer their questions and would prefer to be able to work, shop, and exercise unmolested. The police were sympathetic but could do nothing. [4]

worst I had was press outside my house for 2 hours I just turned off all the lights and they went away A week sounds terrible.
