Couldn't concentrate on work, so took a walk down left pasture and visited the future cider orchard. Last year's Roundup injection of knotweed killed 99.5% of the stuff ...but the other 0.5% is coming back. Think I'll go out with a pick and shovel and get those roots up.

Try chelated iron in solution in a test area. Should burn up the rhizomes...

what's leading you to hand pick the remaining ones now vs continuing to inject round up?

I've had absolute shit luck with roudup, I'm honestly envious. I think weeds develop a resistance over time much like bacteria. I'm to the point now where unless the weed is in concrete, I dig it up.

Glyphosate resistance is a real thing, but needn’t be permanent. A good multi-year weed management plan is something most state extensions encourage. Also, if you’re using Roundup from a home store, you’re not getting the good stuff.
