2/ you or your wife are jogging when three angry black men in an Escalade or three Hispanics in a pair of El Caminos chase you, cut you off, then jump out with guns drawn oh you got shot and killed? Well, shouldn't have started a fight with them! They were just asking questions

3/ I'm not sure what you think you're arguing about. First, I'm woke on FBI crime stats, and argue them many times. Second, there is no evidence that anything was burgled. Third, the point above was re mental models, which don't depend on FBI stats.https://twitter.com/bestern_west/status/1259912006502690819 …

GP Who was the black CCP holder pulled over in MN who got shot by the cop for merely identifying himself as a CCP holder? I was totally on the side of prosecuting the snot out of the cop and his family suing the piss out of the cop and the department.

Philando Castile. Qualified Immunity covers far too many egregious acts.

This is a reasonable human reaction; we react on a visceral level much more than we care to admit. My visceral reaction is simply based on a different gut condition, which is I Don't Care For Police, But I Really Fucking Hate Wannabe Cops.

What I hate about this (as someone who has probably an average understanding of the facts of the case) is that the chances of me coming to a different conclusion (or even the same conclusion for different reasons!) if I were on a jury and presented all the known facts of the case
-
Is pretty high! At least 10%. That's a pretty high likelihood that I am going to condemn or exonerate someone falsely! And I don't live in that state, and I'm not on the jury. I just hate that every one of these occurrences has to be a national event, with everyone opining on it

This is very reminiscent of Martin/Zimmerman, except we have video. M "attacked" Z, but we have only his word that he hadn't already pulled his gun. Z got self-defense because his was the only testimony.
-
All the physical evidence matched Z's initial statements to police, including Z's injuries as well as M's. That's what persuaded me he should not be convicted.

What is it with people getting their panties in a bunch that they pulled a gun on him? I am not a lawyer but from a common sense perspective you know that is not illegal. Do I want CCP holders to be pulling guns on people randomly? No. This was not a random occurrance. 1/2

Could they be guilty anyways? Perhaps. The jury will decide. It seems there has been a history there. Could the McMichaels premeditated the whole encounter? To be honest what's more interesting to me is the ethnic tension in the area.
