Been manually weeding dandelions from the lawn for ~ 20 minutes after lunch these last few days. Satisfying ... and I think it will work better to pull up roots than the chemical stuff I've used in previous years. Funny, I don't even love lawns, but since this house has one >

Definitely. The people who mention it are generally into organics and prefer not to use fertilizers made in chemical plants (silly). But it also seems that the knowledge could a useful bellwether for when you do need fertilizer. Hard to say how valuable they really could be.

I should have been clearer. What I don't know is if anyone has ever demonstrated exactly how much of a benefit they really could be. How much N-P-K is in a single plant? Are they useful for macronutrients and micronutrients alike or just one or neither. Seems very unscientific.
