We fixed most of those issues in late 2018 (sunlight lamps, Legion Athletics' Phoenix supplement, alternated with 5-HTP cocktail for serotonin, reducing BC dose as much as possible, in that chronological order).

Last August, I decided I was ready to seal the deal and get married. And, well, by the end of 2020 we did (surprise, we're married).
@selentelechia and@eigenrobot were the witnesses, alongside my parents.2 replies 0 retweets 25 likesShow this thread -
Also of note, in the last six months, we went and won a powerlifting competition (smaller one, so 'won' is a bit mutable of a statement, but I had the highest men's wilks and a total only second to the 100+ kilo guys, she had 2nd highest woman's wilks)

Now it's 2020. We are, legally, married. Our actual wedding may have to be put off, but that's ok. We're getting ready to have kids - 3 at least - and buy a house. Our careers are humming along. In quarantine, we've stayed in shape, eating right, no more arguing than normal.

This thread is kind of for two reasons. One, I want to look back and celebrate my relationship with my wife. I can share some of these things precisely because it's not blasting out to all lesser known acquaintances, family, coworkers while attached to my name

Two, I want to brag about her. She has pulled herself up economically a truly remarkable amount. She paid for two people's degrees. She runs 50 miles a week, and lifts 3x a week, and has 'won' events in both categories.

She loves to read, with a deep passion for classical science fiction and a broadening taste in older books, especially Russian lit (blah!) She enjoys shooting, metal, gaming, and can throw down with the boys, so to speak, with the best of them (ref. HUN).

She's a fantastic wife, and will be a fantastic mom. She is a cornerstone of my life and an inspiration. Although our intellectual focuses often diverge, I know she'll always have my back, and I think the mixture of our genes will produce something fantastic.

And most of all, she puts up with the insane pace I try to set, my constant efforts to turn the wrench of self improvement, my frustrations and stoicisms, my absent mindedness and obsessive focuses, and loves me back. She brings virtue, and excellence, into my life.
