1/ For the last 6.5 years NH has had a registar of deeds website that required installing a very specific version of Java (no, not Javascript - JAVA - do you remember the 6 months back in 1995 or so when there was no sandbox and apps ran outside the browser?)

2/ I spent a few hours trying to get that to work on my linux box, with complete lack of success. About once / yr I check back to see if the site sucks less yet. Today...it sucked less! New app is JS / HTML5. Yippee! I can find esoteric details about my land and its history

3/ HOWEVER, I guess to fund their operations, the website demands a credit card if you want to actually print out the results. Can't right click and save the images either. :(
