Reading a book set on the moon (The Powers of Earth) had me thinking about vehicle handling in low gravity. 1/6 the force from friction makes rubber on concrete feel like steel on steel, but some of the grip would be from deformation, which wouldn’t get down scaled quite so bad.

I did do some rudimentary calculations re the motorcycles and other vehicles in the underground colony. I can't find the spreadsheets right now, but the results are hinted at in the book in a few places, e.g.pic.twitter.com/x6dcDJ1sQa
