1/ homesteader / prepper friend is concerned about supply chain breakdowns this fall, and is accelerating his plans to plant crops to feed himself and his family I think the risk is low ... but he's got me thinking. Just called the farm store - they've got tons of potatoes

5/ so mass planting is * partially to feed to livestock * partially an experiment * partially research for homesteading book * partially prepping -if supply chains DO break down, we can figure out storage techniques on the fly
