11/ OTOH, I bought a Kubota tractor at 350 hours, have put almost 600 hours on it since then, and nothing has broken. Annual maintenance is easy and even kinda fun.

12/ Wait, ok, not NOTHING. But what has broken I've been able to fix with a cutting wheel, a MIG welder, and a ball joint press. (didn't use the ball join press to fix a ball joint, but to press out / replace a pin in the front end loader)

If you can’t provide basic care for a piece of machinery, you probably shouldn’t buy it. You prided some basic care. That’s what is expected. I spent years operating heavy equipment, certain things were normally taken care of “in house”.
