6/ ...unless... ...and stay with me here ... those workers actually prefer the entire basket of goods that they get from that employer, including salary, benefits, location, etc., and are making the conscious decision as adults to accept the best option that actually exists.

nobody said it was your problem - i'm just observing that should someone want to judge an employer for treating their employees like dogs, "the employees have no better options" isn't really a defense of the employer's behavior.

right, but dude was implicitly trying to make it my problem: in the context of "I might buy X from company Y", his statement "company Y sucks" is implicitly a call to boycott firm Y to stand up for the workers.
by, you know, lowering demand and causing them to get laid off
