/ this reminds me: given quarantine (and wife and I are now EXACTLY 40 days into it, so it now technically satisfies the "quarantina" standard), we are - not eating out, at all - not grocery shopping, at all and so are going through meat from chest freezers faster than usualhttps://twitter.com/NPPC/status/1242187865813061633 …

/ ...and a lot of our meals are 90+% meat. e.g. "steak, on a plate, no sides", "pork chop on a plate, no sides", "pulled pork, on a plate, no sides" keto AF, which is nice, and my belt is getting even looser, despite punching a new notch in it a few weeks ago but also:

/ ...using up meat at a decent clip. Now, we've got THREE massive chest freezers in the basement, and they're all mostly full, so we're not going to run short any time soon. ...BUT I had been assuming that I'd not raise hogs this year bc there was enough pork to last

/ through slaughter season in 2021. But now I think we're probably eating 12 oz / person / meal (lunch and dinner) plus a bit more bacon or sausage or chorizo or country ham for breakfast. So ... prob 2lbs of meat per day. That's 60 lbs / month.

/ At that rate, we'll def have enough to get through slaughter season in 2020 (8 months x 60 = 480 lbs, and we've prob got 1,200 lbs, plus or minus), but maybe not enough to reach Dec 2021 (20 months x 60 = 1,200). So...need to do inventory. Do I have 1,200 or 900 or 1,500 ?
