Grandma's rural (Well, second home's rural) and the only effect of this pandemic is her house sliding into the lake *and* her still not being able to get food. It's not like the suburbs do any better. /It's not like, on a sufficiently long run, you're not parts-dependent.

What I think this is adjusting in a very real way, is the calculus of *living near hub airports*. Especially international ones, ATL is mostly domestic and I'm amazed that dog isn't barking louder compared to JFK/SEA/SFO.

tbf walkable neighborhoods with charming ethnic bodegas can be robust, they just have to be in small communities with nearby food sourcing which ofc. disqualifies the big cities most of that target audience wants/needs to be in, so...
