The news is straight up lying about CDC and FDA. Even w/o an EUA, there’s no crime associated w/ testing for a virus. EUA waives FDA quality controls on manufacturing test kits for sale. RT-PCR tests (the world class virus test) can’t reliably detect COVID-19 anyway, so…
