No, SCOTUS has ruined things all the way since Marbury v Madison. At least according to some *very passionate* individuals I encountered yesterday who insisted judicial review is not a thing while praising the second amendment.

1. It's not analogous to rot because each new Judge is independent. 2. SCOTUS is far from perfect but it is easily the least corrupt, most genuine, and well operated branch of government. 3. The Roberts and Rhenquist courts in particular have been very good.
