3/ skimming the article, it was unclear. We agree that Uber is fine when they tell drivers (a) "being polite and maybe giving passengers a min increases your ratings", and (b) we "boost high rated drivers to the top of the list", right?

4/ really, what I want to get at is the deeper question of when exactly our intuitions about "!@#-ing idiot boss who tells me to do !@# on my own time? !@# that guy!" segue into "3rd party advise giver who just tells me who the world actually works".
