She's not wrong one should be able to make sure they get up for their job and not rely on their spouse to get them up.

I think it's just common courtesy when you live with someone that if you notice them oversleeping you wake them up. I would do this for a roommate.

There's a sense I which I disagree with her on the object level. Marriage is a team sport. I don't think I blame her for not making sure he got up, but in her shoes I would feel responsible to at least try.
