it's not true. For example, my mom isn't a sexpot anymore but she's a valuable and attractive person who certainly wouldn't abide being ignored

I think there is some truth to it, but really only in the limited scope of looking for a romantic partner. It's absolutely not true that older women have less "social value" or are less interesting as friends -- probably quite the opposite.

the value of anyone - man, woman, child - is composed of a dozen things: wealth + sexual attractiveness + loyalty + skills + ... As w any summed series, there are coefficients. For better or worse, biology puts a VERY HIGH coefficient on a woman's youth / SMV / fertility >>>

A 70 year old woman who is kind to children and cats, and good at teaching pottery classes has a lot of value. ...but her SMV is 0, and that means that, in a pragmatic, DESCRIPTIVE sense, her value is fairly low. I don't argue that this is great. I argue that this is.

There is an endless supply of essays written by late 30s / 40s / 50s women about how men used to smile at them, let them cut in line, hold the door for them....and now they're invisible. Yeah...so now you're treated just like, you know, MEN are. THAT MUST BE SO HARD FOR YOU.

Except the advantages women have (men being extra nice to them, sexual persuasion, getting out of tickets for being cute etc) expire when they lose outer beauty. The advantages men have (intellectual respect, institutional structures, career advantages) DON'T expire with age.

So it's not "just like men." It's just like men in the aspect of not having those female specific advantages. It's not like we gain the advantages of men in the process lol

Its because they rest on their laurels with their looks without building the things Men are required to. They aren't male advantages, we just realise we need to work on it from the beginning, not once we start getting ugly.

Men are conditioned to** as children. You don't realize it because you're more wise or something. Boys are encouraged to do different things and praised for different things than girls. So you learn by cultural conditioning bc you're not told "oh look how pretty!" like girls.

Besides, as made obvious by the op, women know we're required to have just as many skills as everyone else loooong before we are ugly
and women are constantly put down when they are "all looks, no brains" so I don't wanna hear you cry about how much more men are required to do2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
> women know we're required to have just as many skills as everyone else l what? women, on average, have fewer real skills than men do
