3/ I'm not sure what "forcing people to build ...expensive smart homes" means. I'm familiar with building codes in two states - one of them a very progressive north eastern state - and there's nothing in those codes that requires "smart homes".https://twitter.com/wrathofgnon/status/1222779954250674176 …
4/ The thread circles back to the concept of "equality", which is odd. All of those beautiful European cities the trad twitter accounts are always banging on about are products of inequality, not equality.https://twitter.com/wrathofgnon/status/1222780690636263424 …

Or, worse, horrible multi-level city houses where the slightly less poor lived on the upper floors so they could dump their privies out the window onto the ground floor poors.
I perfectly get what OT is after. I understand that there exists people who are perfectly fine being near others so often. But then they totally forget people like me who exist who believe, in general, cities are sinful and I don't want to be around anyone but my wife and nature
Growing up in LA had given me all the exposure I will ever need to know that the concepts he champions would be absolute hell here (more than even now). Might work for single group places (Switzerland or Japan) but not in "diverse" America
Lol where's the east German monoliths?
Single family 3-bdr split level across the street from a giant-ass park with a lake you could skate in in winter. Beats the shit out of ANY of those euro things.
