2/ might work it up into an essay, but probably won't There are all sorts of personal moral failings, peccadilloes, sins, etc. that are, I suggest, sub optimal, but do not really harm civilization that much.

I keep meaning to expand on this-- but somewhere along the way, hypocrisy became the chief sin. It's really where Progressivism has diverged the most from Christianity.

Christianity is, on some level, organized around hypocrisy, because we hold to an ideal we KNOW we can't reach. Look at marriage, many marriages are not great. There might be infidelity, arguments, etc.
