> Improvement in Rails 5 In Rails 5, redirect_to :back has been deprecated and instead a new method has been added called redirect_back. "improvement" sigh so now my code that used to say return redirect_to foo() def foo X ? some_url : :back end doesn't work

How do you like Ruby in general? My only experience with it was rewriting a bunch of AWS utilities into Python. I've always felt RoR was a flash in the pan and it never really filled the role of a general purpose language, more like a newer PHP.

I love Ruby. RoR isn't a general purpose language, bc it's not a language. It's a web framework. Ruby is closer. It's not for everything, but it's great for 80% of things.
