meh AOC is a politician and she's intentionally trying to take over or split the Dems. If there was some awesome upstart red tribe politico who was insanely popular and failed to support RINOs until they get serious about, say, the 2A and budget, we'd cheer, right?https://twitter.com/neontaster/status/1216011316919439362 …

2/ Her argument is "progressivism is good; it helps the little people. The establishment Dem party is DINO, and they just support the rich. Look at those corrupt F-ers like Hillary and Pelosi. You're damned right I'm not going to support THEM; Imma refor this and do it right".

3/ And, if we put aside the object level discussion of whether progressivism is good or not (it's not ; it's terrible), she has a coherent argument and a very good strategy. So ... crapping on her for not paying party dues is bad analysis.

I'm crapping on her for saying one thing and doing another constantly. And yes I have a problem with small government republicans who want big government and to raise the age for vapes and shit like that. The idea that she's a fresh breed of honest politician is horseshit.

I think it's fine to crap on her for buying an expensive dog when shelter dogs exist. I get all of my dogs from the shelter. But bringing in "paying her dues" is a different argument which is less defensible, IMO.

Why? How is this different than Union dues in the sense that they are mandatory fees to an organization you are a member of that can be used for politics you don't agree with?

"I'm not paying my union dues because my local won't donate to causes I agree with" is not something AOC would be on board with.
