I love how dude's criticism of the modern nuclear family model goes from valid points (it can be expensive, there can be a lack of masculine or fraternal spaces), to a totally ahistorical and untried solution: "let's live in gender-separated communal spaces."

Versus a historical solution that relies on communal organizations such as churches, single-income living, a blending of the nuclear family and extended family models, and men making a focused effort on building male friendships and having fraternal spaces.
