Hey I know a really bad writer with similar ideas. You two should hang out [ in a large intergenerational house ( if his dad lets you ) ]. https://t.co/jD7byMmolt

3/ I'd bet $20 most of these nuts grew up without a dad and - with no decent role models - fetishize male bonding. Instead of aspiring to being the man of their own domain, they either want to be one brother among many, or live in grandpa's group house. Sad.

4/ The common thread is that they're both attracted to masculine leadership...and terrified of putting the burden on their own shoulders. Many such cases.

I very much favor allowing people to 'innovate' in relationships to find an arrangement that suits them, maybe worth adopting. But if the arrangement they settle on doesn't inherently support bearing and raising children, it CANNOT serve as a core social institution.

Heinlein's concept of 'line marriage' at least guaranteed parental presence and ample resources for child-rearing. A setup where the parents remain separate most of the time and (I presume) have separate property just doesn't, and without kids, makes it a literal dead end.
