it's real ; I believe @HeinleinSociety tweeted about it a while back
I expect that it's pasted together by editors, with infill, and thus will be garbage like the "final" novel that Spider Robinson excreted after eating a meal of Heinlein notes ("Variable Star")https://twitter.com/asymmetricinfo/status/1212415086322733057 …

10/ Dude, when I want to tag Scalzi in to threads insulting him, I do. Search my tweet history. Don't fucking presume to either (a) tell me how I should tweet, (b) think that I am lacking in the balls department.https://twitter.com/Ideoprax/status/1212470382915129347 …

I hated Old Man's War. First and last Scalzi I ever read. Before I joined Twitter and found out what he was like as a person.

I found it meh. Not bad but not much above the level of the giant crowd of self-published mil-sf novels. Scalzi is a bit amusing to observe, like his nemesis Vox Day. Sadly, he doesn't hold a candle to Vox, whose levels of autism & ego are quite something.

I liked Old Man's War and Red Shirts, but Scalzi himself... He's the Tom Nichols of SciFi.
