ZOMG. Family member who (a) doesn't read, (b) listened to one NPR podcast on the topic of beef, decided to send a few of us a long email "educating" us on grass-fed vs grain, USDA ratings, etc. The Dunning Kreuger is strong. Went into nerd rage. HULK S̶M̶A̶S̶H̶ EXPLAIN THINGS.

Grass fed has weaker, less rich flavor. Grain finished beef is tastier and more tender. Also the butcher needs to let it hang for right amount of time. If not, it’ll be tough.

> Grass fed has weaker, less rich flavor. this is not my understanding based on * reading * experience buying both grass and grain fed * talking to my neighbor who raises cows and is a professor at an ag college YMMV, I guess
