I mentioned to my wife last night that the biggest change in my political thinking over the last 5 years is truly embracing the Moldbuggian concept of passivism. Once you realize that you have ABSOLUTELY NO POWER, and that none of the elites care what you think, you're free.

12/ So then I spent 6 or 8 hours balancing the books for the rest of the year, pushing the correct data out through 31 Dec, then re-submitted to the accountant. On Monday I told the bookkeeper her error, my fix, and asked her to pay more attention in the future.

Off topic question. How is gnucash? Do you like it?

last used it 10 years ago I liked it a lot clean dual entry bookkeeping with no frills. Like Quicken used to be 30 years ago. Modern Quicken is an abomination.
