Done removing ashes from the boiler and loading a few hundred lbs of firewood. Next up: gym (mils!), shower, working on the outline for Aristillus 3 and 4. Maybe a sip somewhere in the middle as a reward if I hit gym goals.

yes, wood is heavy, both my father's house and grandfathers were nothing but wood heat when I grew up. Have cut a lot of wood. Your stove has a huge firebox. I assume you can shut down the draft so it just smolders along with that much wood

yep, it's controlled with a circuit board and a thermometer in the water jacket when it reaches 160° the fan shuts off, no new air, coals smolder quietly drops below, fan turns on ...
