I thought crypto twitter was uniquely bad with the "I am a POLYMATH who is highly expert on law, history, economics, cryptography, just ALL. THE. THINGS" but then sometimes I get a glimpse of social justice programmer Twitter & I realize crypto geeks are pikers on this.

It's like a whole community with an epistemology centered entirely on finding definitive, actionable answers to arcane questions on Stack Overflow, and then they get on here & put that same Google-fu to work on matters of law, history, military tactics, you name it.

Anyone who spends any time scrolling this stuff cannot be surprised at how poorly moderated/governed our social media platforms are, because it's all these same strident, thunderous geeks making the platforms' mod policies & then farming them out to sweatshops for enforcement.
