an appreciation of the fact that norms differ and this is a tricky problem, as opposed to "anyone who doesn't like the sound of jetskis and screaming grandmothers obviously hates joy and SHOULD BE DRIVEN OUT OF EVERY PUBLIC PLACE" would be good
I don't want to do battle about the norm of dB at Chilis. I want to find common ground on totalizing vs non totalizing meta-norms.

I want to find a process that you will tolerate that lets minorities get what they want, instead of a tablespoon of feces being added to EVERY cask of wine.

I don't see what I've defended or proposed as totalizing. Do you? Why and how?

I've explained this six or so times now. You've come up with a process ("if a minority wants X in location Ythey should do it, because it is a reflection of human joy"). That process, applied reasonably, applies EVERYWHERE.
