3/ corpse disposal - especially mass casualty events with hundreds or even thousands of corpses - there's no substitute for creosote soaked phone poles. Lay a solid base and a second layer at right angles, and pile the corpses atop. You'll be tempted to do four layers, but don't

4/ Three layers of corpses is enough at one burn. If you need to dispose of more, do a second burn later, or make a bigger pyre. I'll explain why later. To start your mass casualty pyre you'll need diesel fuel. As you scout the ruins, look for yellow cans. That's the color code
