That's what I was going to suggest. Though I was a weird school kid who found it a lot easier to deal with my age group when they got to about 25. (I guess they grow up a bit later these days)

My kids were homeschooled, they are probably less weird than the average public school kid in the area. I’ll have to get back to you on the solidly cool aspect, but they’re on the right trajectory.

Can confirm that kids who go to "normal" school are extremely weird, and the occasional homeschooled kid I've met are just different to *that*, and are therefore considered weird.
