kicked ass at the gym had good conversations with friends and coworkers refined my to-do list system/workflow a bit made progress introducing the cats remembered to accept the limitations of my energy levels - went to bed when I was tired instead of staying up and fretting

honestly I think it was something about immersion into a high-expectations, low-coercion environment with dozens of competent people of varied ages/interests/specialties something kind of clicked on the second night, a major shift in my perspective towards my obligations

yeah! I don't quite understand it either - I've been to good parties before, full of people I like, and I've contributed to events run by competent people. Possibly timing - a bunch of people in the right place/mindset to get something they needed.

yep --- and that works both ways. A lot of the older folks have been talking for a year or more - in the post-Moldbuggian wreckage of the idea of fixing Society™ about the virtues of mentoring, helping 1 person at a time, opting out, Benedict Option, tending own gardens, etc. >
