after running a company for 14 years I see so much complexity everywhere. a billboard: "new apple phone January 15th" me: OMG OMG they designed it 4 years ago, sent designs to factory 12 months ago, updated designs 6 months ago, inventory is on ships with bills of lading now >

marketing designed the font and the wording of the billboard, the billboard ad buy took place, the sales staff had a day of special training, demo phones are already in hands of thought leaders, editorials are being written, there are memos on managing queues, tickets printed >>>

there is LITERALLY a thousand or more lifetimes of work tied up in just this one product release ... and to the consumer, there is simply a 90% white billboard with 5 or 10 words on it and there is SO MUCH COMPLEXITY hidden
