4/ Also read the Foxfire books and decided that I wanted to live on a farm, build my house, blacksmith, butcher pigs. Not too much later learned of Prometheus award, thought it would be a high goal to aim for.

5/ Introduced to computers at age 8 or 9 and started programming in BASIC. Wanted to be a scientist or an engineer. So, looking back on it, pretty much all of my goals were set by age 12, and I've spent the last 37 years pursuing them. which is ... kind of crazy?

6/ WTF does a 12 year old know about the world? About reasonable trade offs? About alternative paths? And yet, here I am. Living on a farm, butchering pigs, blacksmithing, working as a software engineer, with Prometheus awards on the wall for a rewrite of tMiaHM.
